Three of the nSYS team are taking on The Lairig Ghru in a bid to raise money for those affected by Multiple Sclerosis. David Jack, our Infrastructure Manager who planned this trip, is doing it to raise money for the MS Society after a close friend was diagnosed. MS Society provide treatments and services, emotional support and financial help to those living with the condition, as well as doing extensive research into finding a cure.
It’s an old route that runs through the Cairngorms from Braemar to Coylumbridge, near Aviemore, via a large set of valleys carved by glaciers. To make it a little more interesting, the guys plan to take in 3 Munroes, including the infamous Ben Macdui, camping overnight and the completing our journey in 2 days – a distance of 26 miles, climbing to just over 1300 metres.
The money raised from doing this will help an excellent charity make a real difference. If you can, it would be very much appreciated if you can donate via this link.
They are braving it this weekend and we wish David, Tom and Lukas good luck!
